The Hotels Association of Sri Lanka (THASL), the Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) and its ‘One Industry One Voice’ partners yesterday handed over their proposals to amend the Tourism Act as requested by Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga.
The core of their recommendations is to refrain from changing the current act. However, if the Minister and authorities need to change the act, the joint proposals suggest how it should be done. The proposal was handed over to the Minister, Secretary and Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority Chairperson.
